About

Ground floor – “Nebulous: imagination, dreams & identity search”

“In the haze of an invisible energy called Orgone, created in 1930 by Wihelm Reich, Nebulous is guiding you in the world inside an artist’s head and vision. It is to the visitor to explore each artwork’s emotion, whether it is fears, happiness, curiosity or anxiety. That primal anxiety that makes artists feel so raw exposed and liberated at the same time.

The terminology Art therapy is used extensively nowadays, but it would be interesting to ask ourselves – isn’t Art Always a therapy? Pictorial artistic expression was always used as tool to express, remember, treat nostalgia, and if we go back even further, the cave man pictorial art could have been a way to treat the cave man’s loneliness? Why not try to understand the prism that the artists see through by looking at a range of some of the most personal works of their careers.”

Projected: Orgone energy is a hypothetical universal life force. Orgone was conceived as the anti-entropic principle of the universe, a creative substratum in all of nature. Orgone was seen as a massless, omnipresent substance, but more closely associated with living energy than inert matter. It could coalesce to create organization on all scales, from the smallest microscopic units to macroscopic structures like organisms, clouds, or even galaxies”

Second floor – “Graph’Art”

“All terms related to graphic design, architecture, graphism and visual arts tend to confuse the public. Instead of explaining, the sometimes complicated, relation between them, Graph’Art will show you how they interact, play and complete each other perfectly.

From traditional calligraphy to a de-structured lineal work, through graphic installation and sculptures the public will explore each dimension known in this world. We will navigate the universe of forms, shapes and visions that will clearer our understanding of graphic art and artistic design, in the Arab world.”
