Join us for the second meetup of the reader and discussion program: “Shaping our Future Communities”. In this session, we will be discussing a BBC article titled “How art and culture can help us rethink time”. This reading material highlights the progressive role of culture and 21st-century artists, in how they undertake themes of sustainability, the environment and the future in their work. The meetup will be moderated with a presentation of artistic examples to open up the debate and dialogue with our joined audience.
The talk will be in Arabic & English with a simultaneous translation for both languages.
“Shaping our Future Communities” is organized by the Jordan National Gallery of Fine Arts, EUNIC, Società Dante Alighieri-Amman, Goethe-Institut Jordan and the Institut français de Jordanie.
With this program, we aim to foster critical thinking about important issues and their effects on the future of living through reading, creative learning and debate. By inviting relevant actors from all over the world, we aim to facilitate a fruitful exchange on topics such as education, urbanism, reforestation and artificial intelligence which are looked at and debated from the lens of art and culture.
