Rafik Lahham
Jordan, b.1932-2021
Lahham was among the first students to be sent on a scholarship by the Government of Jordan to train in art. He graduated from San Jacomo Institute and (ENALC) in Rome in 1962. He continued his art training at the Institute of Rochester in New York. He is a founder of the Jordanian Plastic Artists Association (1971) and the Union of Arab Artists. He was granted the State Appreciation Award for Fine Arts in 1991 and holds several decorations and medals from Morocco, France and Greece.
