Ali Taleb
Iraq, b.1944
Ali Talib trained at the Academy of Fine Arts in Baghdad (1962-1966) and the College of Applied Arts in Cairo (1977-1980). He taught painting at Yarmouk University in Jordan (1991-1992). His enigmatic expressionistic work, laden with varied intellectual symbolism carries a strong allusion to man’s conflicting nature and society’s double standards.
