Abdulla Hariri

Morocco, b.1949

After graduating from École des Beaux Arts in Casablanca, Abdulla Hariri went to France to study design and cinematography in Toulouse then to Italy and Poland to continue his training in design and graphics before coming back to settle in his hometown.  Hariri’s animated paintings are based on calligraphic and diacritical marks, intercepting static geometrical forms and grids, floating across the surface in lyrical movements.
