Ali Hassan

Qatar, b.1957

A graduate of the Faculty of Letters at the University of Qatar (1982), Ali Hassan received his art training in etching from Cairo (1986). His black and white calligraphic compositions are made up of repetition of a single letter in its different forms, thus manipulating the graphic dimension of the Arabic alphabet to form an abstract composition.
