Chaouki Choukini
Lebanon, b. 1946
A graduate of École Nationale Superieure des Beaux Arts in Paris, Chaouki Choukini taught sculpture at the Lebanese University (1985-1987) and Yarmouk University in Jordan (1988-1991). His elaborate and highly polished works mask a strange and poignant simplicity that defies all rules in their futuristic cerebral forms.
