Hafiz Drouby

Hafiz Drouby graduated from Goldsmith College in London (1946) and established the first free Atelier in Baghdad, 1947. One of the founding members of the Impressionists Group (1952), he was the dean of the Institute of Fine Arts for 6 years. In his Baghdadi cityscapes with cubist overtones line and colour complement each other in an easygoing and liberated manner.
