Born in Trondheim. He began his artistic career in 1983, and many prominent institutions have acquired his works. His art often explores themes of transience and features surrealistic elements, with memories of his childhood and literary motifs playing a key role in his works. In addition to painting, he has also gained wide recognition for his graphic works, particularly lithographs and metal graphics.
