Hassan Jouni
Lebanon, b.1942
Hassan Jouni graduated from the Lebanese Academy of Fine Arts (1964) and the Fuster Academy of Fine Arts in Valencia (1965). He then taught painting and drawing at the San Fernando Academy in Madrid. He acquired a Diploma in Fine Arts from the University of Madrid (1984). Since 1971 he has been teaching at the Lebanese Academy of Fine Arts and is head of the Drawing and Painting department. He blends colour, figure and line to create a dynamic space that reaches the viewer through the emotional impact of the work’s form and content.
