Jafar Islah

Kuwait, b.1946

A graduate of Berkley University in California (1970), Jaafar Islah uses his pen and brush in a manner reminiscent of Renaissance artists. His acquiescent women, caught in a moment of deep thought, seem to drift onto the surface through the mists of time, lost between east and west.
