Jose Luis Alexanco

A renowned artist specializing in abstract and digital art. A founding member of the Workshop for Automatic Plastic Forms at the Computer Centre of Complutense University in Madrid, he became one of Spain’s foremost digital artists in the 1960s. Alexanco played a pivotal role in shaping the Spanish art scene during the post-Franco period, notably through his organization of the “Pamplona Encounters” in the 1970s. His work spans both individual and collaborative projects, earning him numerous prestigious awards. His artworks are held in major international collections, including the Victoria & Albert Museum in London and the Reina Sofía Museum in Madrid.
