Maribel Domenech

Spain, b.1951

She is an interdisciplinary artist and researcher in art, gender, textiles, and technology. In 2022, she became president of MAV (Women in Contemporary Visual Arts), and in 2021, a member of the IVAM Advisory Council. From 2002 to 2021, she was a Professor of Sculpture and Director of the Sculpture Department at Universitat Politècnica de València. Her work, which began in 1982, focuses on three main series, with ongoing exploration in Weaving Time: The Social Aspects of Everyday Life. She has participated in numerous solo and group exhibitions.
