Moqbel Zahawi

A graduate of the University of Southern California (1957) and the Central School of Arts and Crafts in London (1959), Muqbil Zahawi treats his colossal hand thrown earthenware sculptures as if they were made of carved stone. The lack of coloured glazes and his application of earth colours bring them closer to man’s primal organic aesthetic origins.
