Omran Al-Qaisi
Lebanon, b.1943
A painter, art historian, and critic. He studied art in Baghdad and Bulgaria. His paintings have been exhibited in several exhibitions. He worked extensively on the lettered painting technique, developing its concepts, images, dynamics, and sounds. Recently, he published a book titled “Iraqi Art After the Fall of Baghdad,” in which he discusses prominent Iraqi artists living in various parts of the world, from America to New Zealand, and from Northern Europe to the Gulf.
