Rachid Koraichi

After attending École des Beaux Arts in Algiers (1967-71), Rachid Koraichi continued his art training in Paris at École Nationale Superieure des Arts Decoratifs (1971-75), Institut d’Urbanisme de l’Académie de Paris (1973-75) and École Nationale Superieure des Beaux Arts (1975). His best known works are his monochromatic big size etchings in sepia and black and white with their calligraphic background and bold symbols in the foreground reminiscent of Berber signs and brush painting which carry social and political messages of protest against injustice, genocide and occupation.
