Subaih Kalash
Iraq, b.1948
Born in Baghdad. He obtained a diploma in Fine Arts from the Institute of Fine Arts in Baghdad in 1970, and a Bachelor’s degree in Painting and Drawing from the College of Fine Arts at the University of Baghdad in 1974. He continued his studies in France, where he earned a higher diploma from the École Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts (Beaux-Arts) in 1981, as well as a Master’s and Ph.D. in Contemporary Art History from the University of Sorbonne. He taught art at several universities, including Sultan Qaboos University in Oman and Yarmouk University in Jordan, and served as the Head of the Department of Art Education at Sultan Qaboos University.
