Taha Boustani
Iraq, b.1950
Born in Baghdad and completed his primary education there. He then joined the Institute of Fine Arts, Department of Calligraphy and Ornamentation, graduating in 1978. He worked as a teacher at the same institute from 1986 to 1995, then joined the Ministry of Education in the Curriculum Directorate, where he became the head of the School Book Design Department. Al-Bustani lectured in courses held at the Saddam Art Center then and was the founder of the (Gilding and Ornamentation Department). He also worked as a designer for educational television. He is a member of the Iraqi Calligraphers Association, the Iraqi Artists Association, and the Iraqi Plastic Artists Association.
