Yousef Ahmad

Qatar, b.1955

Following a BA degree in Fine Arts from the College of Fine Arts at Hulwan University in Cairo (1976), Yussef Ahmad went to Mills College in Oakland, California for his MA in Fine Arts. Ahmad has developed a distinctive calligraphic style based on rhythmically arranged letters in various densities that form a monochrome of lyrical abstract arrangement in black and white.
