Zaid Saleh
Iraq, b.1926-1986
He began his education at Al-Mamounia Primary School before enrolling in the Military School in Baghdad in 1940, where he graduated as an officer. He served in the military while continuing his passion for drawing. In 1947, he traveled to England for further studies, exploring many art and historical museums, greatly influencing his cultural knowledge and artistic development. He became a member of the Iraqi Painters Association upon its founding and took part in most of its exhibitions
