Join us for the upcoming meetup of “Hiwar Art Club” for a talk by artist and activist Valentine Falchero who will introduce her experience as a member of the FreeSpirit organization, an NGO created by artists, dedicated to protecting our planet. They design visual art as a powerful tool for spreading ideas and bringing people together around a common purpose. Through an artistic approach, their aim is to bring attention to the perils of climate change, to raise awareness about wildlife conservation and to support vulnerable children across the world.

The sessions will be in Arabic & English with a simultaneous translation for both languages.

Through specialized readings and relevant artistic examples, our subtheme for this month will demonstrate how art and environment can work together to fight desertification and deforestation for breathing in the world of tomorrow. This subtheme is curated by the French Institute of Jordan.

“Shaping our Future Communities” is organized by the Jordan National Gallery of Fine Arts, EUNIC, Società Dante Alighieri-Amman, Goethe-Institut Jordan and the Institut Français de Jordanie. This project is part of the Europe Readr – Living for the Future initiative.
