Join us in the next “Hiwar Art Club” for an open discussion with artist Raed Ibrahim, titled “Our Lived World Through the Eyes of Art.”
In times of war and crises, art can serve as a means of expressing human suffering and documenting or interpreting events that shape history. Like many intellectual and cultural movements, in such difficult times, art plays an important role in understanding conflict, channeling identities and resistance, through the works of local and international artists who have used their art as a means of expression and affirmation of existence.
Raed Ibrahim is an artist and art instructor. His works have been exhibited in numerous solo and group exhibitions in Jordan and other places around the world. He teaches at the School of Art and Design at the University of Jordan and participates in local and international programs focused on facilitating and teaching the arts.
Join us next Monday 28/10/2024 at 6:30 PM at the Jordan National Gallery of Fine Arts Building #2 – 2nd floor.
The artwork in the post is by artist Tagelsir Ahmad titled “From the Occpied Land” 2001, from the JNGFA Permanent Collection.
