Paper Play by Elmer Dumlao at the Jordan National Gallery of Fine Arts – Building (1) First floor, this exhibition is part of Art Week Amman (AWA), it will be open to the public starting 7 September until 28 October 2013 Play on shape, play on colors, play on textures and play on concepts. That’s what Elmer Dumlao has been playing with his latest exhibition at the Jordan National Gallery of Fine Arts entitled “ paper Play’ using paper as his medium as he actively played with coffee cups, match boxes, photo papers, sand papers, tissue rolls, paper bags, books, magazines, art papers and more. Resulted to contemporary art pieces using basic techniques of collage, painting, origami and sculptures. Elmer Dumlao pays tribute to the importance of paper, which play a big role in our daily lives. His subjects are commonly seen from households, business, commercial and industrial but uniquely recycled to form his playful art.
