Jamal Ashour

Jamal Ashour graduated from the Institute of Fine Arts in Baghdad in 1980 and continued his art training at Accademia di Belle Arte in Florence, specialising in painting and graphics and graduating 1985. His versatile works of painted multiple wood boards, vacillate between sculpture and painting, and stand out as a bold experiment, with a highly personal expressionistic individuality.
