Ammar Khammash

Architect, restorer, painter and designer, Ammar Khammash studied architecture at the University of South-western Louisiana graduating in 1984. An avid conservationist of traditional architecture, among the edifices he has restored is the Tourist Rest House of Um Qays and Darat al-Funun in Amman. Khammash started painting when he was in high school under the guidance of Fouad Mimi. He interprets still life and landscapes in large daring brush strokes while boldly manipulating colour shades to build up his compositions.
