Adam Henein graduated from the School of Fine Arts in Cairo in 1953 and spent the years 1954-56 in Luxor and 1963-65 in Nubia, developing his style in sculpture. Since 1971, he has been living between his birthplace, Harraniya, and Paris where he has his studio. Henein is a pioneer of the art of sculpture in the Arab world. An adept painter, his compositions reflect the solidity of his stone and bronze pieces and his colours reflect the purity found in all his work.
