Diana Shamounki
Jordan, b.1945
Shamounki started her artistic career in 1967 and studied art with the late Italian artist Armando Prön and the pioneer Jordanian artist Muhanna Durra. Later on she trained on figure painting and drawing at Montgomery College of Maryland in the USA. In 2012, the Jordan National Gallery of Fine Arts held a retrospective exhibition on her works.
