Hafiz Kassis

Hafiz Kassis is a graduate of the Fine Arts Academy in Istanbul (1972) where he studied painting and stained glass. He continued his training at the College of Fine Arts in Ravenna, in Italy, where he trained in the art of mosaics and stained glass, and is the only Jordanian artist who works in these two media. A skilled restorer he has done major restoration work in churches in Jerusalem, Salt and Larnaca. His oil paintings with deep green, red and blue figures framed in thick black lines, have the air of medieval glass windows.
