Abu Krayem got his Ph.D. in Art Criticism in 1998, and his M.A. and B.A. in Graphic Arts, Design and Book Illustration, at the Academy of Fine Arts in Tashkent, in 1987. After returning to Amman, he opened a studio where several artists trained with him.
