Hussein Sharife read modern history at Cambridge University before going to the Slade School of Fine Arts at University College and the National British Institute for Cinema in London. His sense of colour adds freedom to his abstract canvases where light appears and disappears within the folds of his unrestricted brush strokes, forming mental whirlpools.
