Kayid Amr

Kayed Amr got his early training at the Institute of Fine Arts in Amman, then went to Cairo where he graduated from the College of Art Education in 1970. He continued his studies at Pennsylvania State University in the United States where he obtained his doctorate in art education in 1982 and presently teaches at the Department of Fine Arts of Yarmouk University. Amr’s subjects revolve around stylised pastoral landscapes from Jordanian and Palestinian villages in expressive and vivid colours.
