Mohamad Ghanoum

Syria, b. 1949

Born in Damascus, He graduated from the Faculty of Fine Arts at the University of Damascus- Decoration Department in 1976. He earned a Ph.D. in Philosophy of Art from Tashkent University, Uzbekistan, in 1992. His artistic career began with painting the old neighborhoods of Damascus, still life, and portraits in a realistic style. He has held numerous solo exhibitions and participated in various exhibitions as well. He has also received many awards.
