Sama Shahrouri

An Amman-based artist whose work focuses on sculpture making. She attained a sculpture degree in 2016 and has been working as an educator and an arts & cultural communications specialist ever since. Shahrouri’s most notable artistic engagements include her participation at the 2019 edition of Amman Design Week, being one-fifth of the Remote Closeness art collective since 2020, and co-founding the online magazine artmejournal in 2017 where she was editor-in-chief and content curator for five years.
