Vladimir Tamari

Artist and inventor, Vladimir Tamari has been living in Tokyo since 1970. He got his B.A. in physics from the American University in Beirut then went to London and trained in art at Saint Martin’s School followed by one year at the Center for Study and Meditation in Philadelphia (U.S.A). His scientific inventions include a machine for three – dimensional drawings and his research led him to develop a type setting of Arabic alphabet suitable for printing without losing its aesthetic value. Tamari’s art exudes Oriental transparency and sensitivity and has a highly personal style, concealing a cerebral quality within its visual beauty.
