Abdul Latif Sammoudi
Syria, b.1948-2005
He graduated from the Faculty of Fine Arts at the University of Damascus in 1975, and has been living in the United Arab Emirates since the 1970s, where he worked as a teacher of art education in its military schools. He then joined the Department of Culture and Information in the Sharjah Government and was later appointed to the Sharjah Art Museum from its establishment until his passing in 2005. Throughout his career, he dedicated much of his time, heart, and effort to the artistic, cultural, and visual arts scene. Additionally, he was one of the founding members of the Emirates Fine Arts Society, the Banush Group, and other artistic and visual art associations and groups.
