Ghassan Sibai
Syria, b. 1939
A graduate of the Faculty of Fine Arts in Damascus, Ghasan Sibai continued his training at École Nationale des Beaux Arts in Paris, graduating in 1974. He is a professor at the Fine Arts College in Damascus. He has adopted in his paintings a symbolism that represents the internal and social complications a woman faces, interpreting them in a poetic and mystifying style.
