Nizar Sabour

Nizar Sabour graduated from the Faculty of Fine Arts at Damascus University in 1981 where he has been teaching since 1991, and continued his studies at the University of Moscow where he got his Ph.D. in philosophy of art (1990). He mixes different media and techniques in his sculpted paintings, inspired by icons of the Eastern Church yet, in a primitive manner that adjoins power to the composition.
